WHO YOU ARE
Ideally, you’re an excellent writer and verbal communicator. You know that the devil is in the details, and are extremely detail-oriented. You can juggle multiple projects simultaneously and take initiative. You’re comfortable conducting research and working on projects where you aren’t necessarily an expert on the subject matter. You’re conscientious and have a strong understanding of national media outlets. You’re big on digital marketing, and keep an eye on new trends. In other words, you’re in a hurry to be successful, for both your clients and your career success.
Educated. BA/BS in marketing, PR, communications or related field.
Experienced. 1-2+ years agency experience.
Whatever it takes. Proven ability to “get-the-job-done.” Agency life sometimes means late nights (…with work or happy hours).
Articulate. Strong writing skills with ability to communicate points-of-view succinctly, thoroughly, and convincingly.
Innovative. Creative and strategic thinker.
Friendly. We like to work with people we like.
Apple iOS savvy. We have beautiful Macbook Pros; we hope you know how to use one!
Serve as the main point of contact for clients. This includes: scheduling calls, running meetings, sending deliverables, and being responsive.
Serve as a brand steward, reviewing all deliverables and checking for accuracy before they're presented to the senior team.
Write blog posts, social media posts, copy for digital ad campaigns, and press releases.
Monitor online conversations (Facebook, Twitter, blogs, etc.).
Measure digital engagement and create summary reports for clients.
Provide media relations support including pitching and influencer outreach.
Research stats and facts, new contacts for media lists, and influencer outreach.
Draft media pitches and materials (such as backgrounders).
Create and maintain media and stakeholder lists.
Monitor media coverage and influencer postings.
Oversee and execute administrative tasks: team support, meeting set-up, media training sessions which include equipment knowledge, set-up, and catering coordination.
